Ergonomic Gardens, LLC Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ergonomic Gardens, LLC collects and uses information that relates to you (your Personal Information) when you use ergonomicgardens.com (the Website), engage with us on social media, or otherwise interact with us.

Anonymized data is data that has been stripped of personally identifiable information.

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page. This privacy policy is effective as of February 28, 2024. The previous version was effective February 16, 2023. Changes are highlighted in Section 9) below.

2) What Information Does Ergonomic Gardens, LLC Collect?

Information we collect and why:

  • We do not retain, or have access to, payment information entered by you through the Website. We contract payment services out to Stripe, Inc. (Stripe) and Ecwid by LightSpeed Commerce, Inc. (Ecwid). We view the fees we pay to Stripe & Ecwid as an investment in your privacy and security.
  • We use analytics to collect anonymized data about our Website traffic using tools from Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools. This data:
    • Helps us optimize our Website content for search so you can find us.
    • Helps us measure whether our marketing investments are effective (e.g., radio, TV, social media, and others).
  • We use cookies to add functionality and optimize Website performance. Cookies are sent to your browser from our Website and stored on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies (from us) or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Website.
  • Information you provide to us.
    • We use this information for order fulfillment and customer service.
    • We retain a record of estimates/quotes we provide directly to you for custom orders for future reference.
    • We retain a record of invoices for bookkeeping purposes.
  • Mailing lists: We will not add your personal information provided through the Website to an e-mail marketing list.
  • We maintain a database of aggregated sales in units and dollars by zip code with no identifying information (anonymized) for strategic marketing and business development purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data is not personal data for the purposes of this policy.

3) Disclosure Of User Information To Third Parties

Ergonomic Gardens, LLC will not share personal information provided through the Website with third parties for any non-business purpose unless we are compelled to do so by law.

We will ask for your consent before disclosing your personal information to third parties for a business purpose (e.g., shipping).

We will not sell your personal information.

4) How We Protect Information Online

We exercise care to protect your personal information. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. This includes using industry standard antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention tools.  

Data collected through the Website is stored on industry-leading web platforms. We invest in industry leading platforms largely for the scaled privacy and security they provide. See Section 6) Platforms and Storage.

We limit our employees’ and contractors’ access to personal information. Only those employees and contractors with a need-to-know business purpose have access to this information.

While we strive to protect the information we collect, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5) When This Privacy Policy Applies

Our Privacy Policy applies to our Website. It does not apply to third party websites, applications or services that maintain their own privacy and security policies. We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while using these services or visiting other websites.

6) Platforms & Storage

    • Ecwid by LightSpeed Commerce, Inc. (Ecwid): We use Ecwid to manage our online store. Ecwid gathers information you provide with your shopping cart so that we can deliver your order. (Data examples: Carts, Invoices through the Website).

      • Incomplete Carts: If you fail to complete a shopping cart, Ecwid will log the cart as a “lost cart.” We have turned off automated e-mail lost cart recovery. We can see lost carts and we may reach out to you with a personal message regarding your incomplete cart.
    • Stripe, Inc. (Stripe): We use Stripe to manage payment transactions between you and us. Stripe collects customer payment information for us and transfers payments to our bank account.
    • Intuit, Inc.: When we generate quotes or invoices directly, we use Intuit QuickBooks. Intuit Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the USA. (Examples: Invoices, Quotes or Estimates issued directly from us to you for custom orders).     • Google Analytics: We use the services of Google Analytics to collect and analyze anonymized statistical data about visitors to our Website.     • Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools: We use Bing analytics to collect and analyze anonymized statistical data about visitors to our Website. 9) Changes to this policy

  • In February of 2024, we added Microsoft Webmaster Tools and Meta Pixel analytics to the Website to better support Microsoft and Facebook advertising campaigns.
  • Added a process for obtaining a report regarding your personal information.
  • Added a process for requesting deletion of your personal information upon request.
