See us at the 50th Common Ground Country Fair. (9/13/26)

We will be in the Agricultural Products section at the Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, Maine, September 25, 26 & 27, 2026.
Last year at MOFGA’s Common Ground Country Fair was a lot of fun. We talked with dozens of people about ergonomic gardening, tall raised beds, and hügelkultur. Come find us again this year. We would love to talk gardens & raised beds, and answer questions.
The 50th annual Common Ground Country Fair is at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center, 294 Crosby Brook Road, Unity. Hours are Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fair details and tickets are on MOFGA’s site: https://www.mofga.org/about-the-fair/

The Spring 2026 gardening season started slow and finished in a rush. (August 2026)

Spring weather was a little off this year and we got a late start in our own garden as well. By June everyone was playing catch-up. Then summer turned very dry and anything outside our raised beds went to weeds in a hurry. It was a tremendous year for weeds around the corn and potatoes we still grow on the ground. Tall raised beds really are one of the best ways to cut down on that problem.

We have placed an order for steel for the fall season. Last year we delivered beds from September through the middle of November. The shop is busy again and we are ready to make plenty more. Get your fall orders in early so we can get them on the schedule!

The 2025 gardening season is on! (4/9/25)

We have started seeds inside and even sowed some snow peas in our garden (YouTube). Our customers are getting an early start as well and the shop is full of beds for delivery. We have tons of new steel (really) and are ready to make plenty of beds for you.

We are currently booked until about 4/25 so get your orders in soon.

Ergonomic Gardens is Maine Made! (02/2025)

In January of 2025, Ergonomic Gardens, LLC was welcomed to the Maine Made community. The state’s Maine Made Program builds recognition for Maine products, their producers, and Maine industries. The products on the Maine Made site are all verified to have been produced in Maine, USA. You can learn more about this great program at mainemade.com.

We are proud and excited that Ergonomic Gardens has reached this milestone.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Ergonomic Gardens on this journey. We look forward to continuing to grow, innovate, and contribute to the Maine economy and to your amazing elevated gardens.

Thank you for a great 2024! (11/2024)

A huge thank you to all our gardeners for a busy 2024. We met a lot of new customers after our September appearance in DownEast Magazine and the shop was often full of garden beds this fall. We were all over the state of Maine and traveled as far away as South Shore Massachusetts and Rhode Island!

We are still delivering for the holidays. Treating your favorite gardener to the gift of a stand-up garden bed is a great way to start the 2025 growing season.

After the holidays, we’ll be going through seed catalogues for our elevated garden and trying to catch up on our YouTube channel. Hopefully, we’ll find more time for video editing this year. Filming is easy… editing is a bear. We did capture some pretty cool stuff this year, including some what to grow ideas, so we will try and post some of that this winter.

We just took delivery of several tons of steel for the 2025 season. Remember to place your orders when you are going through your seed catalogues. We’ll start delivering as soon as the ground is bare. There’s usually a rush of orders in May, so the earlier the better, and you’ll have more time to get them filled for planting.

Here’s hoping for an early spring.

Maine Green Home & Energy Show, South Portland
